High Court Won't Review Ex-Fla. Pol's Bribery Conviction

Law360, Miami (March 24, 2014, 5:20 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday refused to take up a former Florida Senate president's appeal of a bribery conviction for allegedly paying off another official to secure his vote for the purchase of a soccer complex.

In a short docket entry, the nation's highest court declined to grant Wyon Dale Childers' request to review the Eleventh Circuit's decision to affirm his conviction for bribery while he was an Escambia County commissioner.
