CPPIB Puts Up $607M For Fatter Stake In Peru Pipeline

Law360, New York (March 24, 2014, 5:50 PM EDT) -- Canada Pension Plan Investment Board forked over $607 million to boost its holdings in Peruvian natural gas pipeline company Transportadora de Gas del Peru SA, picking up on Monday a 23.6 percent equity stake.

CPPIB, one of the largest pension funds in Canada, acquired the additional interest in TgP from Tecpetrol International SA, Tecpetrol Internacional SLU and Tecpetrol SA, through the exercise of CPPIB’s right of first refusal, the fund said in a statement.
