ITC Votes To Keep Duties On Mattress Spring Imports

Law360, Los Angeles (March 25, 2014, 4:10 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission voted Tuesday to leave in place anti-dumping duty orders on mattress spring units imported from China, South Africa and Vietnam, finding that revoking the orders would cause harm to U.S.-based manufacturers.

In a 5-0 vote, with one commissioner abstaining, the ITC determined that revoking the existing anti-dumping duty orders on uncovered innersprings imported from the three countries would be likely to lead to a continuation or recurrence of material injury to domestic companies "within a reasonably foreseeable time."
