Court Chucks Recruiter's Lawsuit Against Akin Gump

Law360, New York (April 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A New York state judge has tossed a lawsuit by a recruiter who claimed Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld LLP owed him money for helping to place an attorney.

Judge Jane Solomon of the New York State Supreme Court dismissed the breach of contract complaint on Tuesday, on the ground that no contract existed between Sivin-Tobin Associates LLC, and Akin Gump with regard to the hiring and retention of Chang-Joo Kim and his associate Henry Shin.
