Sanofi, Abbott Sue Glenmark Over Hypertension Drug

Law360, New York (April 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland GmbH and Abbott Laboratories sued generics drugmaker Glenmark Ltd. on Thursday, saying that Glenmark's plan to make a generic version of Abbott's high blood pressure drug Tarka threatens to infringe a patent that Sanofi licenses exclusively to Abbott.
