Bill Would Create Patent "Rocket Dockets" Within Courts

Law360, New York (February 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Republican Congressman Darrell Issa is wrapping up a bill that he says could speed up patent litigation at district courts by empowering specialty judges and creating a “Rocket Docket” for patent cases within each district.

The bill, which is expected to be completed within the next two weeks, will call for a five-year pilot program in which two district courts will participate.
