5 Issues To Watch At The NLRB Election Rule Meetings
Law360, New York (April 8, 2014, 10:02 PM EDT) -- With a two-day public meeting on the National Labor Relations Board's proposed regulations to streamline the union election process set to kick off Thursday, management-side labor lawyers say there are five issues to keep an eye on.
The NLRB announced in February that it had decided to relaunch its push to change the rules and regulations governing its representation case procedures, in a 3-2 vote along party lines. When it made the announcement, it invited written comments and said it would hold public hearings where interested parties could address the changes in person, setting the stage for this week's meetings.
