Fed. Circ. Asked To Uphold Boston Scientific Injunction

Law360, Washington (April 8, 2014, 7:39 PM EDT) -- Vascular Solutions Inc. on Monday asked the Federal Circuit to uphold a preliminary injunction that halted sales of Boston Scientific Corp.'s Guidezilla guide extension catheter, calling Boston Scientific a $7 billion behemoth that would run over the company absent an injunction.

Vascular Solutions' attorney J. Thomas Vitt of Dorsey & Whitney LLP told a three-judge panel in oral arguments that the injunction was necessary to avoid irreparable harm to his client as it fights Boston Scientific's alleged intrusion in its market share for the catheter.

"We've got a $7 billion behemoth that can wipe us out," Vitt said of Boston Scientific....
