Couple Heads To Court Over Alleged Gas Injury

Law360, New York (April 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A lawsuit alleging that a man was severely injured by a defective Newell Rubbermaid Inc. gas torch and cylinder that he bought at a Home Depot USA Inc. store has been removed from a state court to federal court.

Homer and Ada June Wooden brought the lawsuit in the Jefferson Circuit Court Division in Kentucky in March. Newell Rubbermaid, a Georgia-based company that made $6.5 billion in net sales in 2007, removed the suit to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky on...
