Government Asks For More Time In AWP Case

Law360 (April 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. government is seeking more time to respond to Abbott Laboratories Inc.’s motions to compel disclosure of key information as the company builds its defense against antitrust allegations that the industry conspired to artificially boost wholesale drug prices.

U.S. Attorney Michael J. Sullivan asked the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts on Thursday to extend the deadline from this week to April 22 for the government to turn over documents and explain more fully its objections to Abbott's requests for admission.
