OtterBox Pays $4.3M To Settle Customs Whistleblower Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (April 21, 2014, 8:17 PM EDT) -- Protective electronics case maker Otter Products LLC has paid $4.3 million to settle a former employee's allegations that it violated the False Claims Act and the Tariff Act of 1930 by knowingly underpaying customs duties owed to the government, according to documents filed in Colorado federal court on Monday.
