Developer To Appeal Over Rejected Atlantic City Wind Farm

Law360, New York (April 24, 2014, 10:18 PM EDT) -- Fishermen's Energy, which wants to develop a wind farm off the Atlantic City shore, plans to go to New Jersey court over the repeated denial of the project by the state's Board of Public Utilities, the developer said Thursday.

The BPU rejected the proposal twice in recent weeks: March 19 and again Wednesday. On April 17, Fishermen's Energy had said it was prepared to appeal to the court if its offer got rejected.

"We are extremely optimistic about our opportunity for success in the appellate court," Fishermen's general counsel Paul Gallagher said last week.

BPU members weren't immediately available for comment...
