Orlando Expressway Official Indicted On Bribery Charges
By Kurt Orzeck (April 24, 2014, 10:39 PM EDT) -- A Florida state grand jury on Thursday indicted an Orlando expressway authority board member, who is reportedly under investigation by a state attorney for breaking board rules by privately discussing the ousting of its former director, on three felony counts of bribery.
The indictment, which does not detail Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority board member Scott Batterson's alleged criminal behavior, accuses him of one count of solicitation of bribery and two counts of solicitation of unlawful compensation for official behavior, as prohibited under state law.
