OraSure Faces Suit Over HIV Test, Says Patent Invalid

Law360 (April 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- OraSure Technologies Inc. defended itself Thursday against Inverness Medical Switzerland GmbH and Church & Dwight Co. Inc.'s contention in a suit filed Tuesday that OraSure's HIV antibody test infringes a patent, saying the patent being asserted is invalid.

Inverness Medical Switzerland, its U.S.-based subsidiary Inverness Medical Innovations Inc. and Church & Dwight filed their patent infringement complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
