Former Cendant Exec Faces Round Three In Fraud Trial

Law360 (February 15, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Two hung juries later, former Cendant Corp. executive Walter Forbes will be up for trial yet again on charges that he participated in a $3 billion accounting scheme at the travel and real estate firm.

Federal prosecutors said this week that they are preparing to try Forbes for a third time after last week’s mistrial. This was the second time in a little more than a year that a jury deadlocked in the accounting fraud case.
