Countrywide Hit With Overtime Suit

Law360, New York (April 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Countrywide Financial Corp. has become the latest in a string of mortgage lenders to face employment-related claims, with a group of current and former loan specialists claiming in a new lawsuit that the company failed to pay them overtime.

Plaintiffs' firm Nichols Kaster & Anderson LLP said Thursday it had filed a proposed class action against Countrywide for wage and hour violations under California laws and the Fair Labor Standards Act in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
