MGA Hit With More Legal Fees In Board Game Patent Suit

By Allissa Wickham (May 6, 2014, 5:02 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana federal judge on Tuesday allowed Innovention Toys LLC to increase its attorney fee award by roughly $260,000 in its patent infringement suit with MGA Entertainment Inc., finding that MGA's objections to the increase were repetitive and "meaningless."

Finding that Innovention's request for additional attorneys' fees was reasonable, U.S. District Judge Susie Morgan allowed the board game company to add $259,312 to the $1.6 million attorney fee award granted by the court on March 27.
