Alliance Data Sues Blackstone Again

Law360, New York (April 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Alliance Data Systems Corp. has sued Blackstone Capital Partners, this time alleging that the private equity firm acted in bad faith to wriggle out of a $170 million business interruption fee in a botched acquisition.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of New York, is the second suit that credit-card processor ADS has filed over the troubled deal. It withdrew the first suit, filed earlier this year in Delaware, saying it had received reassurances that the deal...
