Judge To Rule on Stay of Microsoft Eolas Verdict on Jan. 6

Law360, New York (December 5, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- U.S. District Judge James Zagel will rule Jan. 6 on Microsoft Corp.'s request to stay a jury's $520 million award to a Eolas Technologies Inc. founder Michael Doyle and the University of California for patent infringement.

In August, a jury found that Microsoft had infringed on Eolas Technologies' patent for browser-based applications and awarded Eolas $521 million.
