Canadian Co. Indicted In Military Fraud Case

Law360 (April 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Canadian night vision goggle maker and two of its executives have been indicted on allegations that they bribed a competitor to withdraw from a U.S. government supply contract so that they could step in and fill the void with inflated prices.

The indictment, which charges Newcon Optik Ltd., president and chief executive Michael Beker, and former senior vice president Arie Prilik with two counts each of wire fraud and one count each of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, was returned in December and unsealed Monday....
