Dallas Juries Favor Business Plaintiffs In High-Dollar Verdicts

Law360, Dallas (May 21, 2014, 8:33 PM EDT) -- Dallas juries have been raising eyebrows in 2014, awarding $319 million in an energy partnership fight, $40 million against Baker Botts LLP and a string of other multimillion-dollar verdicts, but longtime litigators say the verdicts reflect the willingness of local jurors to uphold the rights of corporations in business deals and shouldn't make defendants nervous.
