Aloha Gets $2.2M Bid For Service Division

Law360, New York (April 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Los Angeles-based Pacific Air Cargo was reportedly the highest bidder Monday for the contract services division of Aloha Airlines, although bidding for the bankrupt airline's cargo division was put off as a possible pilots strike loomed.

The 1,000-employee contract services division handles baggage, ticket agents, and customer service for United Airlines and carriers that operate out of Hawaii's airports. Pacific Air Cargo offered $2.2 million for the division, the Associated Press reported.
