Calif. Suit Against Powerex Preempted: 9th Circuit

Law360, New York (April 23, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An appellate court ruled on Monday that a lower court was right to dismiss an antitrust suit filed by California's attorney general against Powerex Corp. and the Public Service Company of New Mexico alleging that the companies charged improper rates for electricity.
