Law360, New York (May 30, 2014, 5:13 PM EDT) -- DynCorp International Inc. scored a big win Friday in the D.C. Circuit by shaking off the bulk of the claims in a dispute involving a group of 2,000 Ecuadoreans accusing the government contractor of causing injuries by spraying harmful herbicides on the Colombia-Ecuador border.
A three-judge panel affirmed nearly all of the summary judgment rulings in favor of DynCorp that the Ecuadoreans had appealed, reversing only one, and remanding the suit only on a few plaintiffs' state tort law claims that do not involve actual personal injury or property damage claims.
