Adelphia Investors Can Seek Compensation From AG

Law360, New York (April 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Victims of Adelphia Communications Corp.'s alleged securities fraud may petition the U.S. attorney general to recover some of their losses, a U.S. attorney announced Thursday.

Investors that were harmed by the alleged fraud can lodge petitions online or by phone by July 16, according to Michael Garcia, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Victims will receive compensation from the Adelphia Victim Fund, which is managed on behalf of the Department of Justice by Richard Breeden, former chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange...
