U.S., Abbott Spar Over Documents In AWP Case

Law360 (April 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The antitrust dispute between the U.S. government and Abbott Laboratories Inc. has devolved into a spat over document production as the company continues to defend itself against allegations that the pharmaceutical industry conspired to artificially boost wholesale drug prices.

On Friday, U.S. Attorney Michael J. Sullivan filed two memorandums with the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts opposing Abbott’s requests that the government turn over more documents and explain more fully its objections to Abbott's requests for admission.
