PE Pair Invests $320M In China Dairy Co. Amid Rapid Growth

Law360, New York (June 6, 2014, 8:18 PM EDT) -- Chinese billionaire Jack Ma’s private equity firm Yunfeng Capital partnered with CITIC Private Equity Funds Management Co. Ltd. on Friday, to buy a $320 million majority stake in a state-run Chinese dairy products company amid an increased investor interest in Chinese food companies.

With the investment, the pair of investors will gain a 60 percent stake in Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group Co. Ltd.’s subsidiary Livestock Development Corp. Ltd., according to a filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Friday.
