Brand Battles: Coca-Cola, Kellogg, MasterCard

Law360, New York (June 6, 2014, 7:48 PM EDT) -- In Law360's latest roundup of new actions at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, Coca-Cola dusts off long-discontinued "Surge" for an opposition proceeding, Kellogg "Kraves" a mark it might not be allowed to have, and MasterCard charges another company with using its famous logo.

The Coca-Cola Co. used beverage trademarks old and new this week to go after an application filed by global dairy giant Glanbia PLC for a line of “ready-to-mix sports nutrition foodstuffs, powders, beverages and supplements.”
