Retailers Ask Senate To Block NLRB's Micro-Union Push

Law360, New York (June 11, 2014, 7:23 PM EDT) -- The Retail Industry Leaders Association on Tuesday urged the Senate Appropriations Committee to support an amendment submitted by Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., expected to be introduced on Thursday, which would block the National Labor Relations Board’s efforts to allow so-called micro-unions in the workforce.

The amendment is projected to be offered during the full-committee markup of the 2015 Labor, Health and Health Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations Bill. Graham offered a similar amendment last year during the markup of the 2014 bill, the organization said....
