TravelCenters, Flying J End Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (May 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Truck stop operator TravelCenters of America LLC said Thursday that it would pay $5 million to an affiliate of Flying J to process payment card transactions, ending antitrust litigation between the rivals.

In February 2006, Flying J Inc. and its affiliates filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah against TravelCenters, TA Operating Co., Pilot Corp. and others, alleging that they were conspiring to refuse to process payment card transactions using the TCH electronic processing platform.
