Samsung Dealt Another Setback In Rambus Disputes

Law360, New York (May 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Still smarting from a loss against Rambus Inc. on appeal, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has received another blow from a district court in two patent disputes with the memory chip manufacturer.

On Wednesday, Judge Ronald M. Whyte denied Samsung's motion for summary judgment that its memory products did not infringe Rambus’ series of patents in two cases pending in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
