Firm Loses Bid For Travel Expense Reimbursement

Law360, New York (May 5, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A tax law firm seeking the full hourly rate of reimbursement for travel expenses in the Chapter 11 case of energy technology provider Babcock & Wilcox Co. has been rebuffed by an appeals court.

The firm, Caplin & Drysdale, took its compensation fight to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit after the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana slashed its fees in half.
