Judge Certifies Wellbutrin Antitrust Class Action

Law360, New York (May 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in an antitrust lawsuit against GlaxoSmithKline Beecham Corp. over antidepressant Wellbutrin are one step closer to airing their grievances in court after a federal judge certified the class in the consolidated class action suit.

In an order handed down on May 2, Judge Bruce W. Kauffman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted the plaintiffs' motion for class certification, finding that the direct purchaser defendants satisfy all four provisions of Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 23.
