Obama Says US Must Invest In Smart Auto Technology

Law360, New York (July 15, 2014, 3:52 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama said Tuesday that the federal government needed to invest more in new technologies that make driving "smarter" by preventing traffic accidents, depleting time spent in traffic and reducing repair costs, saying doing so would be a good move for the economy.

The president made the comments following a tour of the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center in McLean, Virginia, which tests new technologies for highway transportation innovations.
