Union Fights Back In Bid To Toss Aloha Contracts

Law360, New York (May 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A union representing Aloha Airlines Inc.'s flight attendants has opposed a move by the interim Chapter 7 trustee to scrap six collective bargaining agreements with the bankrupt airline's unions.

In a motion filed Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Hawaii, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO said the agreements shouldn't be rejected because the trustee hasn't given any specific justification.

The motion argued that the trustee singled out the labor contracts even though most if not all of Aloha Airline's executory contracts...
