ATF Director to Lead RIAA Anti-Piracy Efforts

Law360, New York (December 9, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- The director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will step down next month to lead the recording industry's legal onslaught against online music piracy.

Bradley A. Buckles, who served the ATF for 30 years including four as the bureau's director, will come head of the Anti-Piracy Unit of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the trade group said.

"Brad's appointment should signal to everyone that we continue to take piracy, here and throughout the world, very seriously," RIAA CEO Mitch Bainwol said...
