High Court Lets $4.3M Prius Patent Verdict Stand

Law360, New York (May 12, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court refused Monday to review a lower court's ruling that Toyota Motor Corp.'s hybrid cars infringe a patent held by patent-holding company Paice LLC, leaving in place a nearly $4.3 million verdict against the Japanese automaker.

The high court did not give a reason for its decision. An attorney for Toyota could not immediately be reached for comment.
