Appeals Court Overturns $7.75M Vioxx Ruling

Law360, New York (May 14, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas state appellate court has reversed a $7.75 million ruling against Merck & Co. Inc. over painkiller Vioxx, ruling that the plaintiffs failed to show that a pre-existing cardiovascular condition was not the cause of a heart attack that killed a 71-year-old man.
