Judge Tosses Nearly All Of J&J's Red Cross Claims

Law360, New York (May 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The American National Red Cross is within its rights to license its famous symbol to other companies, a judge has ruled, dealing a blow to Johnson & Johnson in a trademark case over the use of the logo.

U.S. District Judge Jed Rakoff of the Southern District of New York on Thursday tossed out nearly all of a lawsuit filed last year by J&J, which also uses a red cross logo.
