Judge Denies New Trial To General Re, AIG Execs

Law360, New York (May 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge has refused to grant a new trial to four former General Reinsurance executives and a former officer of American International Group who were found guilty earlier this year of manipulating financial statements.

In a ruling Thursday, Judge Christopher F. Droney of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut said that there was sufficient evidence at trial to support all the counts of conviction for former General Re CEO Ronald Ferguson, former General Re CFO Elizabeth Monrad, former General Re Senior Vice Presidents...
