Firm, Former President Clash Over Arbitration Award

Law360 (May 16, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A case that began as a squabble between Tremont Capital Management Inc. and a former executive before an arbitration panel has turned into a $2 million appeals court battle.

In arguments on Friday, Tremont Group Holdings Inc. asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to vacate the $1.75 million award it was ordered to pay Robert Parnell, the former president of the money management firm.

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York upheld the arbitration panel’s award.
