Whole Foods Hit With Pa. Labeling Suit Over Sugar In Yogurt

Law360, Philadelphia (August 12, 2014, 3:44 PM EDT) -- Whole Foods Market Inc. was hit Monday with a putative class action suit in Pennsylvania court alleging that the company misrepresented the amount of sugar in its store-brand Greek yogurt, which has been reported to contain more than five times the amount listed.

The consumers leading the suit say that while the company labeled its Greek yogurt as having only 2 grams of sugar per 170 gram serving, recent tests by Consumer Reports magazine show that the yogurt contains at least 11.4 grams per 170 gram serving.
