BorgWarner Sued Over Timing Technology Patent

Law360 (May 19, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Automotive supplier Hilite International Inc. is suing rival BorgWarner Inc. and one of its subsidiaries, claiming infringement of a patent for variable camshaft timing technology.

Cleveland-based Hilite's suit, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, alleges that BorgWarner Inc. and BorgWarner Morse TEC Inc. sold engine components that infringe U.S. Patent Number 6,209,497, which Hilite owns by assignment.
