Alltel Gets Wires Crossed Over Mobile E-Mail Patents

Law360, New York (May 20, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Patent-holding company NTP Inc. has added Alltel Corp. to its hit list of wireless communications companies to sue for allegedly infringing patents that allow mobile devices to send and receive e-mail. The suit was filed despite the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's rejection of all asserted claims for the patents.
