GM Reaches Deal With Striking Kansas Plant: Report

Law360 (May 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- General Motors Corp. has reportedly reached a tentative labor agreement at a critical assembly plant in Kansas, where about 2,500 members of United Auto Workers Local 31 have been on strike since May 5.

The president of Local 31, Jeff Manning, said workers were slated to receive information about the tentative deal on Wednesday and would vote the same day, adding that the local leadership was recommending approval, The New York Times reported.
