Senate Committee Passes Bill To Overturn EPA Ruling

Law360 (May 21, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A U.S. Senate panel approved a bill Wednesday that would overturn the Environmental Protection Agency's decision to block California from setting its own limits on greenhouse gas emissions from motor vehicles.

The Reducing Global Warming Pollution from Vehicles Act passed the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works by a 10-9 vote. A companion bill is currently pending before a U.S. House of Representatives subcommittee.
