9th Circuit Scraps Antitrust Suit Against Providence

Law360, New York (May 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has affirmed the dismissal of an antitrust suit alleging that Providence Health System-Oregon tried to monopolize the market for diagnostic imaging services in Portland.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Tuesday agreed with a district court’s decision to toss the suit brought by East Portland Imaging Center PC and two other imaging services companies, which claimed that Providence had violated the Sherman Act.
