N.Y. Judge Finds Dell Abused Consumers

Law360, New York (May 27, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A New York state judge has ruled that Dell Inc. and its financing unit deceived customers by attracting them with financial promotions when the computer company seldomg intended to actually offering consumers the advertised promotion.

In a decision dated Friday, Albany County Supreme Court Justice Joseph C. Teresi said that Dell did not include any meaningful information for consumers about the likelihood that they would obtain the promoted financing.
