Former SEC Counsel Joins Alston & Bird

Law360, New York (May 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Alston & Bird LLP has hired Carol McGee, former deputy chief counsel for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's corporate finance division, as a partner in its Washington, D.C., securities practice, the firm announced Tuesday.

“Public companies are subject to significant regulation, given the sophistication of our capital markets and the protections afforded investors,” said Dennis O. Garris, partner-in-charge of the firm’s D.C. office, who has also worked for the SEC. “Carol will be an essential part of our practice helping clients navigate SEC regulation.”...
