California Senate Mulls Sick Leave Bill

Law360, New York (May 30, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a move that could have severe ramifications for employers nationwide, the California State Senate is preparing to vote on a bill that would require employers to provide paid sick days to their workers.

On Wednesday, the California Assembly approved the legislation known as AB 2716, shooting the bill off to the senate for consideration and possibly to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's desk for further mulling.
